Empower a young woman
to Defend herself today.
We are empowering young girls and women with a keychain alarm that enables them to raise an alarm of up to 130db when threatened or under attack. This device provides young girls and women with a fighting chance by scaring away attackers and alerting potential helpers to their distress.
Campaign Goal
Female harassment has been an issue and women must do something to fight for themselves. Our goal is to distribute personal safety alarms that allow the carrier to raise an alarm of up to 130db (louder than a mobile device ringtone, and as loud as a car horn) to 50,000 young ladies and women aged 15-35 in Nigeria. The device’s 130dB alarm is a remarkable safety feature, serving as a deterrent that could make potential attackers flee in fear of being caught.
However, as important as this device is, not all young girls and women are able to afford the device. This campaign will to put this device in the hand of young girls and women so they can raise an alarm when threatened, harassed or under attack and attract attention of helpers.
The campaign will also sensitize the public to spread awareness that immediate action is required to ensure the safety of those in distress when the alarm is heard.
The pilot phase of the campaign will empower 6000 young girls and women with these personal safety devices
